Watermark to Design City of Mobile’s Newest Fire Station

Fire Station Architect Mobile, Alabama

Watermark Design Group has been tapped to design a new fire station for the City of Mobile. The fire station will be located at the site of the former Crichton Elementary School on Springhill Avenue. Watermark’s state-of-the-art design is easily adaptable for various sites, making it a favorite for municipalities that need a quick, quality solution to replace older buildings and serve growing communities.

The new building will join the following stations that have been built using our design:

  • Edward A. Berger Fire Station No. 28 – City of Mobile Fire and Rescue Department (2012)
  • Poarch Creek Indian Fire Station No. 2 – Poarch Band of Creek Indians Fire Department (2009)
  • Saraland Station No. 3 – Saraland Fire Rescue Department (2008)

Watermark’s design is easily adapted to meet the requirements associated with the mission, personnel, and equipment of various departments. The design features a central clear span multi-lane pull-thru apparatus bay flanked on each side by areas for living quarters, kitchen and dining, triage, administrative offices, and training areas. The design promotes safety, comfort, and convenience, allowing firefighters to respond to emergencies swiftly and safely.

The Crichton Fire Station is expected to be completed near Spring 2018.
